Introduction
Bluetooth lets your PC connect wirelessly to accessories such as headsets, controllers, keyboards, mice, and speakers. If your system does not have built-in Bluetooth, you may still be able to add it with a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth expansion card.
This guide explains how to check whether Bluetooth is already available on your PC and what to do if you need to add it.
Check whether your PC already has Bluetooth
Before adding hardware, confirm whether Bluetooth is already supported on your system.
Open Windows Settings.
Go to Bluetooth and devices.
Look for a Bluetooth toggle or Bluetooth device options.
If Bluetooth is listed, turn it on and pair your device.
If your PC does not have built-in Bluetooth
If Bluetooth is not available on your PC, you can enable it by installing a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth expansion card. This card can be fitted into the system to provide wireless connectivity.
Option 1: Install the card yourself
Confirm that your motherboard supports the expansion card you want to use.
Power down the PC and disconnect it from power.
Install the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth expansion card in the appropriate slot.
Reconnect power, boot the PC, and install any required drivers.
Turn on Bluetooth in Windows and pair your device.
Option 2: Have CLX purchase and install the card for you
If you prefer not to install the card yourself, CLX can arrange to purchase and install it for you. This is a good option if you want a fully tested, ready-to-use setup with wireless connectivity configured by our team.
What you may need
A compatible Wi-Fi and Bluetooth expansion card
A motherboard slot that supports the card
Drivers for the wireless adapter
A Bluetooth device to pair with your PC
