Add Bluetooth to Your PC

Boudy H. Boudy H.

Introduction

Bluetooth lets your PC connect wirelessly to devices such as headphones, keyboards, mice, controllers, and speakers. If your system does not have built-in Bluetooth, you can add it with a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth expansion card. CLX can also purchase and install the card for you if you prefer a hands-on solution.

Prerequisites

Before you enable Bluetooth, confirm whether your PC already includes Bluetooth support or whether you need to add hardware.

  • A PC with an available expansion slot for a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth card
  • Compatible Wi-Fi and Bluetooth expansion card
  • Basic access to the inside of the system, if you are installing the card yourself
  • [Product/service name] support if you want CLX to handle the purchase and installation

How to enable Bluetooth on your PC

  1. Check whether Bluetooth is already available in Windows. Open Settings, then go to Bluetooth and devices. If you see Bluetooth options, your PC already has Bluetooth support.

  2. If Bluetooth is not available, install a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth expansion card. This card adds wireless connectivity to systems that do not include built-in Bluetooth.

  3. Restart your PC after installation so Windows can detect the new hardware.

  4. Open Bluetooth and devices again in Windows and turn Bluetooth on.

  5. Pair your Bluetooth accessory by putting the device into pairing mode and selecting it from the list of available devices.

If your PC does not have built-in Bluetooth

If your system does not include Bluetooth hardware, the recommended solution is to install a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth expansion card. CLX can arrange to purchase and install the card for you, making it easier to add wireless connectivity without handling the upgrade yourself.

Tips and best practices

  • Use a card that is compatible with your motherboard and available slot type.
  • Install the latest wireless drivers after adding new hardware.
  • Keep Bluetooth devices close to the PC during pairing.
  • If Bluetooth still does not appear, verify that the adapter is seated correctly and that Windows recognizes the device.
